Help for turning a small idea into parts, a board layout, and a cut-by-cut plan.

Effective date: October 7, 2026

Start with something to make

On the Workshop home screen, choose Catchall tray, Drawer organizer, or Pencil caddy. Turn the model, adjust its dimensions and board thickness, and expand the parts to see what needs to be cut.

Choose Existing parts if you already know your part sizes. Enter their measured dimensions and quantities, then move on to board planning.

Use the board you actually have

Tap Place on my board. Enter the board’s usable dimensions and saw kerf. Set whether pieces may rotate, then review the layout and required boards. Adjust the board or parts if the app reports that a piece does not fit.

Use the clear, square usable area of the stock. Check the plan against the actual material before cutting.

Follow cuts and correct the plan

Tap Start cutting. Read the current board, reference edge, measurement, and highlighted cut. After making the physical cut, tap Cut made. Use Undo last cut if you marked a step complete by mistake.

If the remaining stock differs from the plan, use My offcut is different → replan and enter its measured dimensions. Finish the cuts and review the numbered parts in the assembly view.

Keep a photo or voice reminder

Open Photo & voice notes on a saved project. Use Take a board photo or choose an existing photo. Use Record a voice note, then stop and save the recording before leaving the screen. You can play or remove a saved voice note and remove or replace a photo.

Camera and microphone access are requested when those actions need them. If permission was denied, allow it for Cadelo in iOS Settings, or close the notes screen and continue making without the note.

Take your drawing with you

Open Export drawing. Share full cut PDF opens the system share sheet with the drawing, numbered parts, and cut sequence. Save layout image to Photos saves the layout image after you allow Photos access.

Use Save & leave to return home. Reopen your saved project to continue from its stored measurements and cut progress. Your local work is not a cloud backup; keep exported copies of important plans.

Get help

If a project cannot be read, the app attempts to open its previous local project archive. If recovery fails, avoid removing the app while you still need its records and contact support with the screen name and the action that failed.

Email stefanoskarasavvas@yahoo.com. Include enough detail to explain the problem, but do not send photos or voice recordings you do not want to share. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
